PURPOSE: An offset compensation device of a brake pedal stroke sensor and a method thereof are provided to prevent safety accidents such as a sudden braking accident or a no-braking accident when a vehicle brakes by accurately compensating the offset of the brake pedal stroke sensor. CONSTITUTION: An offset compensation device of a brake pedal stroke sensor and a method thereof comprises as follows. Whether a vehicle is in an acceleration state or not is determined (100). When the vehicle is in the acceleration state, whether the vehicle is in a brake state or not is determined (110). When the vehicle is in the acceleration state and in a no-braking state, the offset of the brake pedal stroke sensor is calculated (120). When the offset of the brake pedal stroke sensor is calculated, the offset is corrected (130).
