摘要 PURPOSE: A method and a device for measuring the distance to the ground from a gondola robot are provided to measure the distance between the gondola robot and the ground as the ground is sensed by a sensor measuring the ground. CONSTITUTION: A method for measuring the distance to the ground from a gondola robot (20) is as follows. The gondola robot, which manages an outer wall of a building by being hung on a rope (118) of a rope cart (10), measures an inclination with an inclination sensor. The gondola robot corrects a sensing direction of the distance measuring sensor by using the measured inclination so that the sensing direction of the distance measuring sensor is perpendicular to the ground. The gondola robot senses the ground by using the distance measuring sensor in which the sensing direction is corrected. The gondola robot calculates the distance to the ground by using the sensed result. The result of the distance calculation is updated.
