PURPOSE: An insert nut and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to use steel instead of brass in order to reinforce the strength of an inner screw tap, thereby preventing the inner screw tap from being damaged or worn. CONSTITUTION: An insert nut includes an inlet part (10), a first knurling part (20), a first filling groove (30), a second knurling part (40), a second filling groove (50), and a latching protrusion (60). The inlet part has at least one protrusive part (12). The protrusive part having a triangular cross-section includes a downwardly inclined surface (12a) and a rear surface having a planar latching protrusion (12b). The first knurling part has a downwardly inclined surface (22) and a knurling groove. The forged knurling groove has a depth of over 0.5 mm. The depth of the first filling groove is over the depth of the knurling groove of the first knurling part so that the filling of an injection-molded product is improved. The second knurling part has a forged knurling groove of which the depth is over 0.5 mm. The depth of the second filling groove is over the depth of the knurling groove of the second knurling part so that the injection-molded product does not escape from the upper side of the nut.
