The unit has a deformable pin (1) that is connected to an object i.e. speed control interface, and is placed in a housing pertaining to another object. The pin includes a modification mechanism that is arranged to locally modify the thickness of the pin in the housing by exerting a pulling force (F) on the pin along its longitudinal axis so as fix the pin in the housing. The pin is split longitudinally and includes two longitudinal arms (2, 3) that are connected to each other. A control shaft (4) is connected at a free end (5) to exert the pulling force.
