The invention relates to a method for picking up information for virtual deployment and to a related device, which includes a main body that enables the collection of information via a means for collecting information in order to perform the computer-assisted simulation, in which said main body includes a first portion that makes it possible to couple same to the element to be picked up, and in which said main body also includes a second portion that enables the device to be the target of the information-collection means, which in association with another information-collection means positioned on the element to be picked up, makes it possible to obtain optimum reference coordinates for a computer-assisted system.
