APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SETTING MARINE STRUCTURE OF GRAVITY TYPE

PURPOSE: A device and a method for installing a gravity type offshore structure are provided to enable the stable and efficient installation of a gravity type offshore structure without using a crane. CONSTITUTION: A device for installing a gravity type offshore structure comprises a jig frame (100), an overhead crane (200), and a balance control unit (300). The jig frame is installed on the seabed inside a first region at a predetermined height above the surface of the sea. The overhead crane is mounted on the jig frame above the sea surface. The overhead crane lifts a unit structure from a barge adjacent to the jig frame and moves the unit structure from the jig frame to be horizontal to the sea surface, thereby moving the unit structure from the barge into the first region. The balance control unit is formed on the opposite side to a part of the jig frame adjacent to the barge. The balance control unit eliminates moment in the jig frame when the overhead crane moves the unit structure.
