PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that when performing a cooling or heating operation in a room with a lot of dust in the air for a long time, dust attached to an air filter is increased, and an indoor unit of an air conditioner has to perform the cooling or heating operation while the air filter is clogged, thus, blowing efficiency of a blower is deteriorated, leading to the deterioration of performance of the air conditioner.SOLUTION: An indoor unit of an air conditioner includes: an indoor heat exchanger; a blower that intakes indoor air and blows the air to the indoor heat exchanger; an air filter that is provided at an suction side of the blower and collects dust; and a dust removing unit for removing the dust collected in the air filter, also includes a shielding means that shields the air blow to the dust removing unit, and performs dust removing operation of the air filter while blowing the air with the blower. |
