PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facility and a method suitable for inland vessels (many ones do not have a steam boiler facility) which can prevent ocean organism from adhering to and propagating on a cover of a sea chest of a ship and pipes or the like communicating with the sea chest without using a chemical, and also which can suppress a running cost.SOLUTION: A facility 1 and a method for preventing ocean organism from adhering and propagating includes a sea chest 201 or the like at a bottom of a ship, a predetermined seawater system pipe group 301 or the like communicating with the sea chest, a predetermined seawater system pipe valve group 401 or the like, a predetermined seawater system pump 50, and a heat exchanger 60 utilizing the heat of fresh water circulating through a fresh water system cooling and circulating facility 70. The predetermined seawater system pipes communicating with the sea chest are branched from an existing air bleeding pipe 301. |
