PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device and a printing method for keeping image quality of printed matter at a high level.SOLUTION: A printing device includes a printing head in which color ink nozzle rows and black ink nozzle rows are lined up in a direction orthogonal to a conveyance direction of a medium, and the color ink nozzle rows are assigned per color in a line along the conveyance direction of the medium. The printing head discharges ink per color nozzle of each color and per black ink nozzle disposed in a line with the color nozzle during scans in a forward path and a back path in the direction orthogonal to the conveyance direction of the medium. The black ink nozzle row forms dots discretely by the respective nozzle rows parallel to the color nozzles of each color so that the same recording order is not followed by color dots and black dots in adjacent regions where the dots are recorded on the medium. |
