PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing scaling in a steam generation equipment, which method makes a long-term stable operation possible by reducing heat transfer loss by preventing the formation of corrosion pits on the heating surface of the steam generation equipment to thereby keep the surface clean and can realize reduction of energy cost by recovering drain.SOLUTION: A method for preventing scaling in a steam generation system is characterized in that in a steam generation system where water containing hardness components and iron compounds is used as feedwater, at least one deoxidant selected from among erythorbic acid, ascorbic acid, and salts thereof, an alkali metal hydroxide, a water-soluble polymer having carboxyl group, and a chelating agent are added, wherein the amount of the chelating agent added is 1 mg/L or more per mg/L of the iron in the feedwater, and no silicic acid compound is added. |
