PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve fuel economy of an internal combustion engine 1 by minimizing wasteful fuel injection in regard to a control apparatus 4 for the internal combustion engine 1 to which a transmission 2 is connected via a clutch 3 engaged, disengaged in response to operation of a driver.SOLUTION: In a control apparatus 4, when a fuel-cut condition is satisfied, and a clutch 3 is in an engaged state, moderate fuel-cut is carried out of gradually reducing a fuel injection amount to zero, and alternatively, when the fuel-cut condition is satisfied in a process of switching the clutch 3 from a disengaged state to the engaged state, fuel-cut is carried out wherein a degression rate of a fuel injection amount is larger in comparison to the moderate fuel-cut. |
