PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silicate-based phosphor which can suppress deterioration caused by an influence such as contact with the other material and a water component, and the generation of a gas, and its manufacturing method.SOLUTION: In a coated silicate-based phosphor particle, a layer having polysiloxane coupling is coated on a silicate-based phosphor particle which is expressed by a composition formula: (MEu)SiO(wherein M is at least one selected from a group composed of Ba, Sr and Ca; and x is 0.001 to 0.1). The coated silicate-based phosphor particle is characterized by being obtained in such a manner that first alkoxide being polyalkoxysilane, alkoxide including second alkoxide, and a coating liquid containing an organic compound having two or more hydroxyl groups are mixed with the silicate-based phosphor particle, and heat-treated. |
