This game control device is configured for providing a tournament, which is a competition between different groups, and, in each tournament, accepting user operations for user matches between users belonging to different groups, determining the outcome of the tournament on the basis of the results of the user matches, and awarding a first privilege to a user on the basis of the outcome. The game control device is also configured for notifying a communication terminal of information such as a first time, which is the time that has elapsed since tournament entries began to be accepted, and a first number, which is the total number of user matches played since tournament entries began to be accepted, and, in addition, awarding a user a second privilege that varies in accordance with either the first time or the first number. |
