A suture passer guide (108) that includes an elongate member having a longitudinal axis and defining a first proximal opening (120, 122, 128, 130) and a first distal opening (124, 126, 132, 134). The first proximal and distal openings are substantially aligned with one another such that a suture passer can be extended through the first proximal and distal openings at an acute angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the elongate member. The suture passer guide can be configured to be passed through a central lumen of an endoscopic port and comprises anexpandable member (116) connected to the dista nd of theelongate member.
