<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for processing a stage performance using digital characters. The apparatus for processing a virtual-image performance according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: an operation input unit for taking, as an input, an operation from an actor using a sensor attached to the body of the actor; a performance-processing unit for generating a virtual space in which a playable character, which corresponds to the actor and which acts in accordance with the inputted operation, a non-playable character, which is not controlled by the actor and which acts independently of the actor, and an object and a background are placed so as to interact with each other, the performance-processing unit playing back the performance based on a prestored performance scenario; and an output unit for generating a performance image from the performance played back by the performance-processing unit and outputting the performance image to a display device.</p> |
