PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily photograph a subject including a photographer himself or herself.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes an imaging section 30 that photographs subject light, a display section 10 that displays a through image on the basis of an imaging signal from the imaging section, an area designation section 20 that designates an area in the display section for detecting a change in a subject image included in the through image, a detector 20 that detects a change in a subject image displayed in the area for detecting a change in the subject image, a determination section 20 that determines whether a predetermined condition is met from the change of the subject image detected by the detector, and an imaging control section 20 that commands a start of photographing when it is determined that the predetermined condition is met by the determination section. |
