A liquid crystal panel and a manufacturing method thereof. The liquid crystal panel comprises a substrate (1, 2) and a liquid crystal layer (3). The substrate (1, 2) has a frame-glue bonding region (10) and a cutting edge (30) located outside the frame-glue bonding region (10). A blocking wall (20) is disposed between the frame-glue bonding region (10) and the cutting edge (30). The height of the blocking wall (20) is smaller than the thickness of the liquid crystal layer (3). The blocking wall (20) is disposed at an outer edge of a frame-glue coating position, so that during bonding of the TFT substrate (1) and the CF substrate (2), the blocking wall (20) can prevent uncured frame-glue from spilling out to the cutting edge (30) of the panel to affect the manufacturing process of the panel, so as to decrease the distance between the outer edge of the frame-glue and the cutting edge (30) of the panel, thereby not only increasing the utilization rate of the panel but also improving the coating precision of the frame-glue.
