摘要 |
A liquid control valve includes a dynamic closure member 2 of an annular shaped adapted to seal against an annular valve seat 4 forming an outlet 4A. A flow path 8 through the valve includes an annular section 6 joining with the outlet port 4A. An annular flow enhancing 5 element 7 is provided in juxtaposition to the valve seat 4 on the upstream side thereof. The bore of the flow enhancing element 7 is of a reducing cross-section formed in two sections 8A and 8B. The upstream section 8A is preferably frustro-conically shaped while the downstream section 8B is preferably arcuately shaped. The minimum diameter of the flow enhancing element 7 is marginally larger than that of the bore of seat 4 enabling the closure 10 member 2 to seal on the protruding ledge of the seat 4. The seat 4 maybe in the form of a washer and the washer and the flow enhancing element 7 maybe integrally combined. |
