PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a technology about a ferrule which can improve inclination with respect to the vertical direction to a ferrule body junction surface of a positioning pin at a low cost.SOLUTION: A ferrule 10 and a ferrule with an optical fiber are provided which include: a fiber insertion hole 12 in which an optical fiber is inserted and which is located between a rear end and an intermediate part of a ferrule body 11; a recessed part 13 which is provided at a top surface 19 of the ferrule body 11 and which has a reflection surface 13c which converts a light path of the tip of an optical fiber 1 that is inserted into the fiber insertion hole 12 into a light path of a light input/output end 31 provided at the lower surface side of the ferrule body 11; a light incidence/emission part 14a disposed on the light path of the light input/output end 31 at the lower surface of the ferrule body 11; a positioning pin 15a provided in the front end side from the light incidence/emission part 14a at the lower surface of the ferrule body 11; and a recessed part 16 provided between the positioning pin 15a at the lower surface of the ferrule body 11 and the light incidence/emission part 14a.
