The arithmetic average roughness Ra of the end surface of the reinforced glass plate is Ra <= 3µm. A protective layer is provided on the end surface. If the maximum thickness of the protective layer is defined as T1 and the thickness of the reinforced glass plate as T0, 50µm < T1 <= 2T0 is satisfied.
