<p>A backlight module and a liquid crystal display device. The backlight module comprises a backplane (100), a rubber frame (150), a light source (140) and a light guide plate (120) optically coupled with the light source. The backplane (100), the rubber frame (150), and the light guide plate (120) form a long and narrow cavity at a light incidence side inside the backlight module, and the light source (140) is arranged in the cavity; an air vent (810, 820) through which the air convection is formed between the air in the cavity and the air outside the cavity is arranged on the long and narrow wall of the cavity. The air vent leading to the outside of the backlight module is arranged on the wall of the cavity formed by the backplane, the rubber frame and the light guide plate around light bars in the backlight module, and enables the air of higher temperature in the cavity and the air of lower temperature outside the cavity to form convection, so that the heat in the cavity of the backlight module performs heat exchange with the air outside in time, thereby lowering the temperature in the cavity of the backlight module and the temperature of the wall of the cavity.</p> |
