PURPOSE: A press apparatus for a universal rear axle and a method for forming the universal rear axle are provided to exchange punches and dies and to form the universal rear axle by gripping a pipe to be formed in a press process. CONSTITUTION: A press apparatus for a universal rear axle comprises a lower mold (200), an upper mold, and a pipe gripping part (400). Multiple forming dies are arranged on the lower body in processing order. Multiple punches are arranged on the upper die. The pipe gripping part is arranged in one side of the lower mold to fix the pipe in a press process. The pipe gripping part comprises an insert bar (430) inserted inside the pipe; a movable bar (420) connected to the insert bar; a cylinder unit moving the movable bar; and a gripping block on which the insert bar and the movable bar are mounted. |
