PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for Inter-vehicle communication are provided to obtain information related to vehicles through wireless communication between the vehicles, thereby providing various services. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for inter-vehicle communication comprises a control unit (110), a communication unit (120), a display unit (130), a voice input/output (I/O) unit (140), a storage unit (150), an input unit (160), and an impact sensor (170). The communication unit performs wireless communication with ambient vehicles and a ground tower under the control of a control unit. The voice I/O unit inputs and outputs a call voice or outputs a tone. The storage unit stores a program for inter-vehicle communication and provides a corresponding program to the control unit. The impact sensor detects impact on a vehicle caused by a car accident and reports the car accident to the control unit.
