PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic for a nail satisfactorily improving symptoms such as cracking and chipping of a nail, onycholysis, deterioration in luster, and dryness, and further having excellent storage stability.SOLUTION: A cosmetic for a nail is used while being applied to the surface of a nail, and includes: hydrolyzed keratin; and cationized keratin. Further, provided that the blending amount of the hydrolyzed keratin is defined as X[wt.%] and the blending amount of the cationized keratin is defined as Y[wt.%], the relation of 0.002≤X/Y≤500 is preferably satisfied. Further, the hydrolyzed keratin and the cationized keratin are preferably produced by using components extracted from feathers. Further, the total blending quantity of the hydrolyzed keratin and the cationized keratin is preferably controlled to 0.1 to 5 wt.%. |
