PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a toner for electrostatic charge image development, for suppressing fog and scratches on a photoreceptor.SOLUTION: The production method of a toner for electrostatic charge image development includes steps of: (step 1) melting and kneading a toner component containing at least a binder resin to obtain a melt-kneaded material; (step 2) coarsely pulverizing the kneaded material obtained in the step 1 to obtain a coarse pulverized material; (step 3) finely pulverizing the coarse pulverized material obtained in the step 2 in the presence of hydrophobic silica particles to obtain a fine pulverized material; and (step 4) classifying the fine pulverized material obtained in the step 3 to obtain toner base particles. The binder resin used in the step 1 comprises a polyester A having a furan ring. The hydrophobic silica particles used in the step 3 are hydrophobic silica (hydrophobic silica A) particles having an average particle diameter of 20 to 80 nm. |
