PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedometer and a mobile information apparatus that are capable of removing the influence of disturbance when a user is in contact with a housing of the apparatus.SOLUTION: A pedometer 100 includes: an acceleration sensor 9 that detects vibration due to a user's walking; a step count calculation unit 15 that counts the number of steps on the basis of the detection result of the acceleration sensor, and calculates an output step count on the basis of the count value; and a conduction state detection circuit 11 that detects whether the user is in contact with a housing of an apparatus. When contact with the housing of the apparatus is detected, the step count calculation unit 15 interrupts processing of counting the number of steps on the basis of the detection result of the walking action, or processing of reflecting the count value in the output step count. |
