HYDRODESULFURIZATION APPARATUS USING HYDROCRACKING CATALYST AND HYDROPROCESSING METHOD OF HEAVY OIL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrocracking-hydrodesulfurization apparatus with which sufficient cracking activity and desulfurization activity are exhibited by using only a small amount of a hydrocracking catalyst, and to provide a hydroprocessing method of heavy oil using the apparatus.SOLUTION: In a hydrocracking-hydrodesulfurization apparatus: a hydrocracking catalyst layer formed of a hydrocracking catalyst constituted of a crystalline aluminosilicate-containing carrier with an active metal supported thereon; and an upstream side hydrodesulfurization catalyst layer formed of a hydrodesulfurization catalyst constituted of an alumina carrier with an active metal supported thereon, are accommodated in a reaction tower in such a way that the upstream side hydrodesulfurization catalyst layer is located to the side more upstream than the hydrocracking catalyst layer. In a hydroprocessing method of heavy oil, low sulfur heavy oil is produced by supplying the heavy oil to the hydrocracking-hydrodesulfurization apparatus.
