A light-emitting device (1) provided with: a translucent substrate (10); a plurality of LEDs (20) arranged in a straight line on the substrate (10); a first wavelength conversion portion (sealing member (30)) formed so as to cover the plurality of LEDs (20); and second wavelength conversion portions (fluorescent layers (40)) formed between the substrate (10) and each of the plurality of LEDs (20). If the direction in which the plurality of LEDs (20) are arranged is taken as the first direction, and a direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction on a first main surface (10a) of the substrate (10) is taken as the second direction, the fluorescent layers (40) each have a protrusion (40a) protruding from the sealing member (30) in the second direction.
