The present invention relates to a sensor system for detecting a leak of a system component (A) from an electrochemical storage system, in particular from a lithium-ion battery. In order to detect a defect in the electrochemical storage system, the sensor system comprises a reaction chamber (10), which contains a verification component (B), and a measuring device (20) for determining a physical variable inside the reaction chamber (10). The value of the physical variable can be modified by a chemical reaction of the system component (A) with the verification component (B) such that a leak of the system component (A) can be detected by a change in the value of the physical variable. The present invention further relates to a sensor element for a such a sensor system, an electrochemical storage system equipped with such a sensor element or sensor system, the use of such a sensor element or such a sensor system, and a mobile or stationary system, for example an electric vehicle, equipped with said sensor system, sensor element or storage system. |
