The method involves blending a bonding agent i.e. cement, with aggregate bodies i.e. stones. The bonding agent and the aggregate bodies are cast into a mold. A mixture of the bonding agent and the aggregate bodies is cured to a slug (2) and concrete. The slug is cut and processed to form a concrete lamp shield by milling, drilling and sawing the slug with a curved saw blade and carrying out core drilling process. The aggregate bodies are optically designed as transmissive aggregate bodies, where the optical transmissive aggregate bodies are translucent and transparent and made of glasses. An independent claim is also included for a concrete lamp shield.
