PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antimicrobial drug screening system that targets an ATP synthesis enzyme of pathogenic bacteria in which antimicrobial drug that targets a pathogenic bacteria ATP synthesis enzyme of Streptococcus mutans or the like can be screened by high speed and conveniently.SOLUTION: An antimicrobial drug screening system that targets an ATP synthesis enzyme of pathogenic bacteria constructs: a first expression plasmid pBWU13&Dgr;c that excludes a gene of a membrane immanent c subunit from an expression plasmid pBWU13 of an E. coli ATP synthesis enzyme; and second and third expression plasmids that connect c subunit genes of an E. coli and a pathogenic bacteria ATP synthesis enzyme to a pMW218 vector respectively, and searches an antimicrobial drug that acts on a pathogenic bacteria ATP synthesis enzyme selectively by sowing the E. coli strains transformed respectively in a succinic acid liquid medium. |
