PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily change a coating width in a die coater.SOLUTION: A shim member is sandwiched by two die blocks which are possessed by a die and arranged so as to oppose each other so that a slot being a discharge port of a coating liquid may be formed at the tip of the die arranged at a die coater, and formed into such a U-shape as to be opened at the slot side. The shim member is characterized in that: the member is formed into the U-shape by a base end arranged so as to extend in the longitudinal direction of the slot and a pair of extensions extending toward the tip of the die from both ends of the base end in the longitudinal direction; and the tip of at least one extension out of the pair of extensions or a first portion being the whole of the one extension and a second portion being a remaining portion at least including the base end are constituted so as to be dividable. |
