The gear box has a clutch coupling device (1) for forming a torque proof connection of an idler (3) with a gear shaft (2). The clutch coupling device comprises a shift collar (4) which is provided with a toothing (7) with which the gear shaft is rotatably connected. A spring arrangement (5) is provided between the shift collar and a guide sleeve (12) for generating a blocking force in axial direction. The idler is provided with a coupling body (6) which is rotatably connected with the idler. An adjusting unit applies a force in axial direction on the shift collar, which is smaller than the blocking force and with which the friction surfaces of a synchronizing ring and the coupling body are brought in contact, so that the adjusting unit applies another force in axial direction on the shift collar after speed synchronization between the idler and the gear shaft.
