<p>The method comprises adding phenolic resin containing binding agents to a base material to form a mixture, pressing the mixture at pressure of 5-150 MPa into a pressed part using stampers (2), and solidifying a binding agent of the pressed part by a chemical reaction to form a molded article. The chemical reaction includes adjusting pH of the binding agent by adding carbon dioxide. The method further comprises subjecting the article into a heat treatment to form a sintered article. The article is a porous article, has a density of 2.6-4 g/cm 3>.
