Abstract A device for treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, the device consists of two low intensity white light emitting LEDS that are controlled by a chip programmed to flash at 3 cycles per second alternatively, giving an effective strobe rate of 6 cycles per second. No eye movement is involved and the patient can relate the changes in the perceived (dissociative) image to the therapist who can encourage complete image ablation. The LEDS may be held at the lateral canthi of the eyes but adult patients who have used both hand held and glasses fixed strobing. |
