PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve resistance of an optical element to a high-power laser.SOLUTION: The transparent type optical element includes a c-axis of a crystal structure and a surface into which a laser beam is incident, wherein the c-axis may be disposed so as to be inclined to an incident direction of the laser beam within an incident plane of the laser beam. Or, the c-axis may be disposed so as to be substantially parallel to the plane and substantially perpendicular to the incident plane of the laser beam.
