This lighting unit for a vehicle is provided with a bracket that holds a projection lens (11) at a predetermined position, a first light source (13c) that is disposed behind the rear focal point (F) of the projection lens and emits light to form a first light distribution pattern, a second light source (13d) that is disposed behind the first light source and emits light to form a second light distribution pattern, a first reflector (14d) that mainly reflects the light emitted from the first light source towards the projection lens, and a second reflector (25) that mainly reflects the light emitted from the second light source towards the front, wherein a portion of the light emitted from the second light source is reflected by the first reflector, and an extension covering the bracket from the front and having a shape such that it is possible to see the second reflector from the front is provided. As a result of said configuration, it is possible to shield stray light reflected by the bracket by means of the inner surface of the extension, and to prevent the occurrence of glare caused by stray light. |
