The system has movable bearing component (12) rotatably mounted relative to fixed bearing component (10) around rotational axis (16). Fluid-dynamic radial bearing (18) and fluid-dynamic thrust bearing (28) are formed in bearing faces of bearing components along axial and radial running portions of bearing gap (14) between bearing faces. Sealing gap (44) is formed adjacent to radial running portion, to seal open end of bearing gap. Narrowing portion (48) is arranged along fluid filled portion of seal gap such that narrowing portion length is three times as large as seal gap width. An independent claim is included for spindle motor.
