摘要 PURPOSE: A method for controlling engine combustion is provided to control not only the time of ignition but also the start point in the sharply increasing heat generation amount section and the finish point in the sharply increasing heat generation amount section, thereby more efficiently controlling an engine. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling engine combustion comprises the following steps of: calculating the generation amount of heat in an engine by the angle of crank (S11); detecting the start point in the sharply increasing heat generation amount section and the finish point in the sharply increasing heat generation amount section in reference to the calculated amount of heat generation (S12); determining whether any one of the start point in the sharply increasing heat generation amount section and the finish point in the sharply increasing heat generation amount section is away from the crank angle section in a normal range or not (S13); moving the start point in the sharply increasing heat generation amount section into the crank angle section in the normal range in a case where the start point in the sharply increasing heat generation amount section is away from the crank angle section in a normal range (S14); determining whether the finish point in the sharply increasing heat generation amount section or not (S15), and moving the finish point in the sharply increasing heat generation amount section into the crank angle section in the normal range by controlling the speed of combustion in a case where the finish point in the sharply increasing heat generation amount section is away from the crank angle section in a normal range.
