摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planetary gear mechanism, a rotary drive device, an image forming device, and a method of assembling the planetary gear mechanism allowing a carrier to be easily and correctly assembled in the mechanism.SOLUTION: First, a guide rod 33 is inserted to a tubular part 31 provided at a rotation center of a first carrier 16 and a second sun gear 17 to penetrate therethrough. Then, a front end of the guide rod 33 having penetrated the first carrier 16 is mounted to a guide rod positioning part 32 provided at a rotation center of a first sun gear 12, and the front end of the guide rod 33 is positioned on an axis same with a rotary axis of the first sun gear 12. Then, the first carrier 16 is inserted into an internal gear 14 by slide-moving it to the first sun gear side on the guide rod 33, while being regulated in its attitude by the guide rod 33, three first planetary gears 15 supported by the first carrier 16 are respectively meshed with the first sun gear 12 and the internal gear 14, and the first carrier is assembled into the internal gear 14.
