PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide reinforcing fibers which improve the impregnating ability of a matrix resin constituting a fiber resin composite material and enhance the mechanical properties of the composite material, and to provide a reinforcing fiber bundle excellent in workability and used for reinforcing resins.SOLUTION: Reinforcing fibers to whose surfaces a resin is adhered are characterized in that resin protrusions (A) and resin coating films (B) are present on at least the surfaces of the fibers; the thicknesses of the resin protrusions (A) are ≥10 nm; the length of the longest portion of the resin protrusions is <10 μm; the thicknesses of the resin coating films (B) are <10 nm; and the resin coating films cover the ≥60% of the fiber surfaces. In addition, preferably, the surfaces of the reinforcing fibers are finely uneven; resin protrusions (C) are present in the concave portions of the uneven surfaces; the resin includes a thermoplastic resin or a copolyamide as a main component. The reinforcing fibers are preferably carbon fibers. |
