PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating composition capable of being cured at a low temperature and in a short time, and capable of forming a coating film excellent in finish property, coating film hardness, scratch resistance and water resistance; and to provide a coating film forming method.SOLUTION: A coating composition contains a hydroxyl group-containing acryl resin composed of a hydroxyl group-containing acryl resin (A1) having an n-hexane tolerance of 20 to 30 mL/0.5-g resin, a hydroxyl value of ≥100 mg-KOH/g and a weight-average molecular weight of <7,000 and a hydroxyl group-containing acryl resin (A2) having an n-hexane tolerance of ≥5 mL/0.5 g-resin and ≤20 mL/0.5 g-resin, a hydroxyl value of ≥100 mg-KOH/g and a weight-average molecular weight of 7,000 to 20,000; (B) a polyisocyanate compound, (C) a radically polymerizable unsaturated group-containing compound, and (D) a photopolymerization initiator. |
