PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique enabling intuitive position specification in a three-dimensional direction without requiring a special pointing device and without learning a special operation.SOLUTION: In a method for specifying an XYZ three-dimensional position using a pointing device enabling an XY two-dimensional movement operation in a viewer which acquires an image at a certain depth position from three-dimensional image data and displays it, a position in the X direction with respect to the displayed image is specified by moving the pointing device in the X direction, a position in the Y direction with respect to the displayed image is specified by moving the pointing device in the Y direction, and a depth position of the displayed image is specified by moving the pointing device in a diagonal direction. |
