<p>Methods and apparatus for destabilizing and reducing the strength and even destroying tornadoes are disclosed. Rather than overpowering a tornado, tornado vulnerabilities in stability maintenance are identified and turned against the tornado. Embodiments include attacking tornado vulnerabilities chemically without the use of explosives. Selected chemicals are introduced into a tornado adjacent to the wall of the funnel, advantageously above the height of entrained debris, to reduce the transmission of local angular velocity of the funnel toward the earth and to attack the local generation of energy from the tornado's air/water mixture.</p> |
