PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment system achieving continuous purification of water and basically not requiring exchange of an adsorbent.SOLUTION: A wastewater treatment system comprises: an aeration tank 100 volatilizing and removing organic compounds from wastewater by bringing the wastewater containing the organic compounds into contact with gas; a wastewater treatment device 200 causing an adsorption element to adsorb the organic compounds by supplying the wastewater to the adsorption element to discharge it as treated water and causing the organic compounds to be desorbed from the adsorption element by supplying heating gas to the adsorption element to discharge it as desorption gas containing the organic compounds; and a combustion device 300 oxidizing and decomposing mixed gas of aeration gas and the desorption gas containing the organic compounds discharged from the aeration tank 100 and the wastewater treatment device 200 to discharge decomposed gas. The wastewater treatment device 200 transfers a portion in which the desorption treatment of the adsorption element is completed to a portion for performing the adsorption treatment and transfers a portion in which the adsorption treatment of the adsorption element is completed to a portion for performing the desorption treatment to perform continuous treatment.
