PURPOSE: A halogen-free ink composition for a light guide plate is provided to prevent the drying phenomenon of an ink during a printing work by using a solvent with a high boiling point, and to improve mechanical strength. CONSTITUTION: A halogen-free ink composition for a light guide plate comprises isophorone, N-methylpyrrolidone, and a solvent which comprises phenoxyethanol, an acryl-based resin, a dispersant and light-diffusing agent. A manufacturing method of the halogen-free ink composition for a light guide plate comprises: a step of preparing the solvent; a step of preparing a mixed solution by adding a scattering agent to the solvent; a step of dispersing the mixed solution; a step of preparing the acrylic solution by adding the acrylic-based resin into the mixed solution; a step of cooling the acrylic solution at 25-55°C; a step of preparing an ink composition by adding an optical diffuser; and a step of filtering the ink solution.
