PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of polyester is provided to provide polyester with excellent physical properties by effectively managing fundamental factors occurring change of diethylene glycol. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of polyester for fiber comprises: a step of manufacturing terephthalic acid, ethylene glycol, and mixing and stirring the same, to obtain terephthalic acid slurry; and a step of esterificating the slurry to obtain the polyester. The molar ratio of the terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol is 1.0:1.0-3.0. The temperature of the ethylene glycol tank supporting ethylene glycol is maintained at 170±5 deg. C.
