PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for updating necessary information in a printing fluid storage device that includes an adaptor and a printing fluid cartridge.SOLUTION: A printing fluid cartridge 30 includes: an ink supply part 34 for discharging ink stored in a body 31; and an optical attenuation part 43. An adaptor 90 includes an electric interface on an upper wall 91. The adaptor 90 is arranged by exposing the ink supply part 34 and the optical attenuation part 43 to the outside of the ink cartridge 30. The optical attenuation part 43 is replaced when the ink cartridge 30 is replaced leaving the adaptor 90 in a cartridge mounting part 110. Thus, information by the optical attenuation part 43 is updated. |
