PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer that displays an accurate remaining amount of printable printing paper and/or an ink ribbon.SOLUTION: A printer that prints one or more data blocks on printing paper includes: a remaining amount detection means that detects remaining amount of the printing paper; a remaining amount calculation means that calculates the number of sheets of printable data blocks based on the remaining amount of the printing paper detected by the remaining amount detecting means; and a remaining amount display means that displays the number of sheets of the printable data blocks calculated by the remaining amount calculation means. The remaining amount display means displays at least one of the residual length or number of sheets of the printing paper, and the number of sheets of the printable data blocks in the residual printing paper and the printing required time. |
