PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for calculating maintenance support information from a life model group based on proper division of maintenance history data.SOLUTION: A calculation device includes: a database storing maintenance history data having at least one attribute value; a first calculation section dividing the maintenance history data into first maintenance history data and second maintenance history data by an attribute division reference value, calculating a first life model on the basis of the first maintenance history data, calculating a second life model on the basis of the second maintenance history data, and calculating a non-similarity between the first life model and the second life model; an estimation section estimating a failure mode number from each of the first life model and the second life model; a second calculation section calculating an optimum attribute division reference value from at least one attribute value on the basis of the non-similarity and the failure mode number; and a third calculation section calculating maintenance support information from a life model group based on the division of the maintenance history data by the optimum attribute division reference value. |
